Brown Sugar Bread Pudding – a small batch

3 cups bread, cubed
1 apple, peeled, cored, and chopped
1 egg
1 cup milk
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 tablespoon butter

Preheat the oven to 350°

butter a casserole dish well
combine bread cubes, apples, and raisins
combine milk, sugar, egg, cinnamon, and vanilla. Mix well and pour over bread cubes
pour into buttered casserole and bake for 40-45 minutes

serve warm with ice cream

    I’ve made this pudding twice. The second time I used an 8×8 glass dish so I cut the cooking time to 30 minutes. Perfect.
