Peanut Butter Cookies

1 stick butter, softened
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)

Preheat oven to 375°

Beat butter and peanut butter together
add sugars, baking soda, and baking powder
add egg and vanilla
add flour
add chocolate chips

Shape into 1 inch balls, 2 inches apart on an ungreased or parchment lined baking sheet
flatten by making crisscross marks with a fork

Bake for 8-10 minutes

Let rest on cookie sheet to cool
