1/2 pound large shrimp, thawed, shelled, and deveined
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley
1/4 cup white wine or stock
a pinch red pepper flakes
a splash of lemon juice
salt and pepper

Heat a sauté pan on high
reduce the heat to medium-high and add the olive oil and butter
once the butter melts, foams up and subsides, add the garlic and red pepper flakes
sauté for a minute, or until you see the edges of some of the garlic just beginning to brown

As the garlic begins to brown, add the shrimp to the pan
then add the white wine and stir to combine and coat the shrimp with the butter, oil, and wine
spread the shrimp out in an even layer in the pan. Increase the heat to the highest setting and let the wine boil vigorously for 2-3 minutes

Turn the shrimp over, and boil the wine for another minute
remove from the heat, add the parsley and toss to combine
add the lemon juice
salt and pepper to taste

Serve alone, with crusty bread, over pasta, or over rice

Let the #decorating begin. #christmas in #California #christmastree #decorations #nofilter required when smoke from the #thomasfire envelopes the area. Wonderful canoe ride on #morrobay not Mars. Tx @akayakshack for the rental. Look forward to next time. #audreycancook Finally, only one sleeve to go on this project. I'm grateful that #noroyarn is sturdy, since I've #frogged the body of this sweater twice and the first sleeve three time. Can I say #homestretch now? #knittersofinstagram #knitting #audreycancook Sometimes a #toastedmarshmallow over an open flame is the only thing to satisfy. #audreycancook There are just never enough #teddybears. #knitting #knittersofinstagram #audreycancook
