Basic Thai-Style Salad Dressing

1 tablespoon lime juice
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon fish sauce
1 tablespoon vinegar
2 cloves garlic, grated
2 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon sugar
squirt of garlic-chili sauce

Combine and serve with any sliced or grated vegetables, sprinkled with cilantro and basil leaves, and topped with the chopped nuts.
